Discovered this last year sort of at random. Very peculiar and good, quirky and morose and snarlingly witty and occasionally lovely folk-rock boogie. Various comparisons come to mind, but really the guy is one of those who's unique enough to make comparisons misleading.

Comparisons mentioned above have mostly to do with dudes with funny voices: early Van Morrison, Cat Stevens, what's-his-name from Mott The Hoople maybe. The music itself varies from minimal folk-rock to full-on Rolling Thunder Revue choogle.
