Gorgeous and mellow and sweet. Johnny Hartman was a no-longer-commercially-viable crooner; John Coltrane an up-and-coming young radical. Coltrane sought out Hartman to make this album, which showcases the absolute loveliness of both artists' sound. An excellent record to smooch to.
